Cleo

Cleo Angeline R. Hechanova

Permaculture Field Coordinator | DAF

Cleo works at the intersection of ecosystem restoration and community support, using permaculture-based approaches to guide sustainable land use. As Permaculture Field Coordinator, she helps plan and co-manage permaculture sites, combining design principles, GIS and mapping, and hands-on learning to translate theory into practical, on-the-ground applications.

What gives meaning to Cleo’s work is seeing nature and communities thrive side by side. Every restored patch of land, every garden coming into bloom, and every person learning to care for their environment reinforces her belief that small, intentional actions can create lasting impact. She recharges by taking slow walks beneath trees, enjoying the naturally cooler shade, and lives by a simple guiding principle: to work with nature, not against it.
