JN is a community advocate and project practitioner driven by youth-centered initiatives that promote meaningful social change. A graduate of Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management, he combines his background in hospitality, creativity, and community work to support inclusive and empowering programs in Mindoro.

Before joining the project, his experience was shaped through youth leadership and development work with Plan International, where he served as Community Youth Project Manager for the Girls Challenges Grant and coordinated AYIP OCCIMIN, a youth organization advocating for adolescent rights and well-being.

As DE Project Assistant, JN supports community engagement activities, livelihood training, research coordination, and field implementation. With strong skills in communication and storytelling, he sees his role as a bridge between conservation efforts and the people of Mindoro, helping translate environmental goals into stories and actions that communities can connect with.

Deeply rooted in Mindoro’s culture, he values work that protects the island’s natural heritage while empowering its people. Known for always carrying a camera, map, or voice recorder, he documents stories and experiences that highlight community voices.

He lives by a simple reminder: Accept and move forward!
