Karla S. Mangundayao

Policy Coordinator | MBCFI

Karla is a forester with over a decade of experience in the review and analysis of protected area, forest, and wildlife policies. As Policy Coordinator, she focuses on examining policies related to natural resources and Indigenous Peoples, and translating these into practical, feasible policy options and instruments that support the consortium’s goals and on-the-ground realities.

Her work is driven by a deep sense of purpose and responsibility to Mindoro. She sees policy not just as paperwork, but as a way to safeguard heritage that is slowly slipping away, often unnoticed. True to her field roots, Karla is rarely without her essentials: a notebook and pen always close at hand, ready to capture ideas, observations, and decisions that she hopes will help protect what matters most.
