Andrew

Andrew Tilker, Dr. rer. nat.

Species Conservation Manager | Re:wild

Andrew oversees Re:wild’s species recovery work, with a focus on threatened and often overlooked mammals. He holds a doctorate from the Leibniz Institute for Zoo and Wildlife Research, along with graduate and undergraduate degrees in ecology and organismal biology. Prior to joining Re:wild, he lived and worked in Vietnam and Laos, where he conducted doctoral research on establishing robust biodiversity monitoring in the Annamites and continues to engage in conservation of endemic species in the region.

Driven by the belief that no species should be left behind, Andrew is committed to developing effective conservation solutions for species on the brink of extinction. He strongly values building meaningful partnerships, particularly with Indigenous communities,  to support species recovery efforts that restore populations to natural levels and strengthen the health and resilience of ecosystems.
